I noticed something, I have friends, and I don't know most of thir names. not because I don't remember it. I didn't ask their name, while we met. my dad and mom complained about this a lot. when I talk about the new friend I meet today, they(mom n dad) "ask what is his/her name?",
"yup,I agree I forgot it again"
but I know/had talked about their hobbies, family, backgrounds, favorites(shows, movies, places, interests, etc.. ), etc..

is it just me or did anyone does this?

    There are lots of people That I go to work or train at the gym with for years I would consider friends & still don't know their names.

    I can be the same way. Names dont seem important to me because it doesnt tell me anything about the person because thry didnt choose the name, doesnt add to their personality or anything so i just forget to ask while busygetting to know them. I say norma.

    I'm not so good at remembering names, especially when I first meet someone. I tend to remember the names of neighbors dogs though.
