If you dont hear voices in your head anymore the main symptom is treated. Take out the main symptom with oppression via drugs or a possible cure. Then take on the other symptoms. The happiness is closely linked to the disorder thus separated meds for those conditions must be took.
And the social adjustments is a hard one because it depends on the severity of the condition as well as any learned ethics when they had said condition.
Its treated not cured. Theres a reason why they are two separate words for it. The medical community isnt settled on treatments but primarily cures.
For trans people to still feel bad after switching genders?

Depends how you define treated. The meds work to make the patient tolerable to society, they don't cure them or make them happy and well adjusted.
