I think part of the reason it's a thing nowadays because society makes it so that certain behaviour is male or female.
Just because little Timmy likes to play with barbies and wear dresses doesn't mean they're girl. They have a dick. They're still little Timmy, farmer Bob's son.
For trans people to still feel bad after switching genders?
