Some TG people think transition and/or living a new role will solve all their problems.
Transition does help with the gender issues to some extent but all of life's other problems NOT related to gender remain.
In some cases I think it is because some TG picture their future selves as looking like a supermodel man or woman. For most of us, that will just never happen. It can suck because the TG we see in the media are often the ones who DO look perfect. Like many people, we tend to compare ourselves to the unrealistic media standard.
The only way for him to get over all this is to go out in public on the regular. He doesn't have to be a social butterfly but just getting out. Go places, live a life. A few people may talk shit. So what? Eventually one forgets what the hell they were afraid of.
Exactly, it wasnt till I came to terms with I could very easily be a ugly woman as I was a guy. Once I came to terms with that reality a certain calm set in. That's when I was able to transition and I dont regret it for a second. You are fully right. Transitioning only fixes the self identity problems. Of anything it adds more problems to life. For me all my problems were based on my self identity so my change went very smooth. I was becoming constantly happier. Sure theres moments of gender dysphoria. But you just rock through it as you know.
I like your comment to dnm. He doesnt realize hes probably fapped to a few of us Haha. Hell I live in a minor city and one Job I had I had like 4 trans coworkers. We are common enough. Just shows how good we are at being invisible like everyone else so we can go home and puss our lives away online like everyone else Haha
This is also directed to op. Iys normal and liks legs said transitioning doesnt fix as much as youd think. That's why I dont like all the media attention on us. Sets unrealistic standards weither good or bad
Do you think its like, people thing getting gastric bypass will fix everything but it only just fixes one problem( weight) but doesnt magically make their lives perfect ?
For trans people to still feel bad after switching genders?
