As a scientist that has done quite a few reviews of different sorts of drugs and read many articles I can tell you that firstly nearly all studies related to pharmaceuticals are carried out by independant bodies and not the government. Secondly while there is a lot of corruption within the pharmaceutical trade banned substances are not that big of a deal becuase it is a lot more profitable to create new substances with a patent. Thirdly although cannabis is illegal in the UK it was quite easy for one of my friends to use cannabis in his undergraduate dissertation which garnered positive results which were published just fine. Forthly let's look at the more dangerous drug heroin, heroin although what people may call a banned substance is used as a analgesiac in UK hospitals, my point being that all controlled substances are dangerous hence why they are controlled and if they have a positive side to them then nobody can stop that info being published.
Firstly, it was carried out by an independent firm but confirmed by the NIH. Fourthly, there are banned substances, and then there are medicinal plants. Kratom is a plant that is also an analgesic but with 0 negative long term effects and 0 chance of over dosing, but kids will use it to get high off of like heroin as well. Just cause you get high doesn't make it bad.
For all of you anti-marijuana IIN users.
