Sure, but if the government were to do that, that would set a horrendous precedent. That is the job of the consumers consuming more healthily and the producers producing more healthily. If the government tried to do something about it, it would not end well. If they decided to regulate food, that tells us that they can regulate anything, no matter how important it is for us to live, leading to excessive government regulation of nearly every aspect of everyone's lives.
