  • You probably identify with the villain's struggle more. Usually, the villain is trying to "create his own world." He takes whatever he wants, and will kill anyone who gets in his way. The hero is bound to stop him because his selfish actions threaten the hero's society. Many people today are at odds with society. When you see something you cannot afford, one may think "why not just take it?" When one is spurned by the one he loves, he may think "why not just take her?" The villain is courageous and powerful enough to take the things he wants, unlike most of us. Because of this, a part of us admires him. But because of our sense of morality, we cannot be like him.
