Those who know me, know how I treat people. Casting aspersions on my character just because I protested is low. Not to mention naming the guy right after I'd changed the name so that he wouldn't be offended and I wouldn't be embarrassed.
Firstly, I agree that the sense of compassion you referred to is important. If anything, your observation shows sensitivity to wholesomeness. And to build on your comment, I focused on "the least of thy brothers". Their appearance has nothing to do with your character, nor do your views have anything to do with the hostility they may receive from the general public.
I am not intending to offend anyone either directly or by association. But, these people need a voice. The looks I was born with are very undesirable. If I were easily insulted, I could never even go grocery shopping.
