You're still young and you have time :) don't give up. I would try making more new friends, you don't always need a significant other to cure loneliness.

It's a little too early to give up, don't you think? Average lifespan is around 74 years these days, so, with 50 or so to look forward to.....

it is easier to make friends if you share common interests
you sometimes need to chase them up as well because they might be uncomfortable making friends or not very outgoing

I share the feeling, u know a lot if people say 20 is young but, from the past I've had has cut off ties, burned bridges and wasted oppertunites so it's hard for me to meet someone now I guess.
Plus I don't believe in this " someone for everyone " stuff, I don't think set things are meant to happen.
People die and get left, left in the chair they died in because they have no-one to care for them, but people also die wondering how they've been so lucky, that may be me someday, and it may be you, looking back at a time when you never thought you would be that lucky, it's a possibility
