I love the journey as much or more than the destination! I don't always have a particular destination.
I don't take vacations, per se. Usually when I travel, there's a reason for going where I'm going, and that reason is not posh relaxation or touristy sightseeing.
I get a thrill reading an out of town newspaper, even. There's so much information between the lines....
