This question isn't as straightforward as that. I mean, there's known and unknown variables. Friends, your mother and yourself you know. That is: them, what they've done and what they are capable of (future potential). As for the baby, It could be anyones and could either grow up to be good a good person or a not so good person. And the stranger, well that could be anyone and choosing a stranger really is a game of russian roulette.
Furthermore, If we consider that some may have friends or a mother who is terminally ill, or that the baby too might have a life-threatening condition, The choice would be much easier. It would then be a matter of whose life would be shortened the least.
