Eyelid removal?

What would happen to a person if you cut their eyelids off without damaging the eye. And you ensured blood did not fill up the eye socket. Also, I mean the entire eyelid so they were incapable of blinking.

Also as usual, is it normal to wonder this?

Without regular blinking to sweep tears across the cornea and white of the eye, the tissue will soon dry out. If this continues for long enough, infections are more likely, the cornea can become scarred and blindness will follow.

Curiosity about this sort of thing isn't any weirder than wondering about the purpose of any other normal bodily function and what would happen if it stopped, but if you have fantasies about doing this to someone, you're fucked up.

      Definately no fantasies. Just curiosity.

        Then it's normal I'd say.

Your eyes would dry out and you'd go blind and/or insane.

No thank you. There is some movie I saw a few months ago that had a box of dried eyelids in it. Can't think of it. Anyway...tra-la-la

Look up your history, it's actually an ancient form of torture / execution.

Nothing to protect the eye = pain and eventually blindness

I’m not quite sure, they were already dead prior in the one instance I did.
