Extremely tired and gaining weight on meds?

In the past year and a half I've been on an antidepressant and an allergy med. I'm very fatigued, I need to sleep 12 hours just to feel OK. I have put on weight. Apparently the allergy med is also used as an appetite stimulant for chronically sick people! I think people think I'm lazy but I never had these problems before taking meds.

Is It Normal?

    Go back to the doctor and report the side effects, there may be alternatives which are better for you.

    I've always been wary of anti-depressants because most if not all of them seem to cause lethargy, which is bad enough if you're depressed and doesn't need to be made worse.

      You don't want these they have horrible withdrawal .

    There might be other antidepressants that work better for you. As Ellenna said, tell your doctor and they might be able to work something out that's different for you.
