Have you tried finding common ground? Something you both enjoy. Whether it's a TV programme, music, food. Anything to bring the barriers down a little while not talking about her or her problems, or you and your problems with her.
I don't expect it's easy but I wonder whether you can build some trust. She's probably quite threatened by you. Some woman has taken her father's love, and she isn't even her mother. She's in a house where everyone seems to hate her and people don't trust her. It must be fairly miserable for her, and I can understand why she'd react.
Isn't the key thing to stop her feeling like this about the situation?
