  • Yes, it's as if even your very own thoughts are cliches because they are thoughts that you know other people have already had at some point in time.

I think it's rare for people to have original thoughts. We all grow up *thinking* we do because of our human egos and everything that is brainwashed into our psyche from the moment we are born, but when you smoke marijuana, you're tapping into your subconscious and the creative parts of your mind, and then you start seeing more of the truth about things around you. It can feel a bit overwhelming when you first start thinking about it, but try to think of it as a sort of enlightenment: You are becoming more aware of the rest of the world around you and your part in it. It's a good thing, enjoy it.

    • I'm not so sure of that - drugs may give you feelings of depth & insight, but its generally not real, IMO. Anyway ...

Poster you are describing being in a rut with what you do, think & say. You are bored. That doesn't mean you are boring or dull.

Perhaps DO something you wouldn't ordinarily. Try something new. See if you can shake things up for yourself and rekindle some passion for life.

      • Hello Ollieo,

I realize you're anti-marijuana, but the truth is marijuana does, in fact, stimulate the Alpha and Theta brainwaves of the mind, which is the same brainwaves which are activated in deep meditation. Many cultures have used marijuana (going back thousands of years) to assist with meditation.

        • Hi - I think labeling me "anti" is polarizing what I said. Actually I am neither for nor against it, I neither judge those who get pleasure in using it, nor attach great significance to its use.

          • Sorry about that then. I was assuming that you were anti because of some of the past posts I've seen you make over the past several months. (I like your posts by the way.) I just got the impression that you were anti from those posts. My mistake though. I was wrong.

            • No not at all .. I can see how I may have given that impression. Its just I think you have to have an authentic self to start with - and then do with that as you choose. When I I think that authenticity has been traded off ... well, I am sure you get my meaning.
