In humanity as a whole? No. I personally know that there are still good, honest people out there. However, I have lost a lot of faith in my community.
Simply put, a lot of the people in this city are low-lives. Druggies on welfare who put their kids on pills so they don't have to hear it, gang members, people with superiority complexes who glorify the life of a criminal and people who truly believe that tolerance should extend to making excuses to people who refuse to respect themselves or others.
The decent people that can leave are leaving and the ones that can't either try (in futility) to improve the community or keep to themselves. I can't blame them either way. It's crazy what a few assholes can do to a community.
