If it was proven there was no God and you "did far worse things", you'd probably spend the rest of the only life you've got in a prison cell. Just because there is no God, does not mean actions stop having consequences.
What part of "whatever I can get away with" don't you understand.
Even if there was no God, would religion still be necessary?
