You sound very ummm... "spectrumy"; like you have autism/Asperger's similar [It's the "researching" various things and intellect that say that to me].
Honestly, the only way to actually research where you fit in - if at all - is to try as many groups as you feel like you could potentially identify with and wait and see whether any members of that group genuinely accept you as a friend even after you get kicked out.
I'm saying this as somebody who is on the spectrum themselves and has made friends with a mixture of goths, bookish types, ultra-fashionable ones, nerds/geeks and several people who all look and behave quite differently in many ways (and similarly in some others), but are all fans of the same band.
