Are there any doctors/nurses/hospital techs on IIN? I’ve tried posting this question a couple of other places but it always gets removed (and I’m not really sure why?). I am entering a national high school app development competition and my idea is to redesign EHR software. However, I know little about medicine and it is really difficult to find documentation on current software. It seems patients and providers are overall rather unsatisfied with current EHR software. It has lead to significant decreases in productivity, more frequent mistakes, even death. If there are any providers here on IIN, what do you wish could be changed/added to EHR software? What do you dislike about it? Perhaps you could tell me more about current EHR software. Thanks.

    I'm none of those things but aside from the obvious, database, UI, remote access the most important thing is Security and availability. It would be no different to any other software except the security protocols needed to protect the data.
