Eating scabs and licking blood

So my son and I are sitting here thinking of a thing to ask. We decided to ask about people and eating their scabs after picking them. We also want to know if it is normal to lick your blood after picking your scabs. So is it normal or is it gross? Be honest guys!!!

  • I've eaten small pieces of scabs before. I love licking my own blood too. I love the iron taste and I like licking metal too so the tastes are the same.

=( I know it is nasty but I love the way chewing small scabs between my two front and bottom teeth feels. I don't do it with every scab, but sometimes I will start chewing on one and not even realize I started doing it. I also search my scalp for scabs to pick, and it is good pickings too, since I have pretty bad scalp psoriasis. I wish I could stop searching and picking scabs all over my body, as it makes my psoriasis worse.. but I can't seem to stop.

Eating scabs.... Love it. Right up there with chewing on my own pubic hair.

Definitely normal. Every now and again I hold family functions we like to call 'scabbies'. I bring the whole family over to my house, and we prepare delicious, salty dishes made of our scabs, as well as 'bloody marys' (virgin drinks for the kids!). It's usually a really great time, and I recommend you try to get more of your family involved than just your son!

I sure do. There are different types of scabs, and they're all tasty. There are the ones from a fresh wound that are sticky and taste metallic (from the blood). As the wound heals, the scabs become more crispy as the skin underneath heals. An infected sore is also a treat because of the pus in it.

it is Not Normal, it is an underling problem of mental health issues and OCD.. This can lead to Bowel infections and appendix removal. The info. is easily found on the Internet :) My Client has to do this and she is an alcoholic and Bipolar. Eating ones flesh is also a sign of addiction and low self esteem. Like I said.. go look it up :)

I usually drink my nose blood when it goes down my throat. Also, I chew the inside of my cheek and I dont know why. I guess I do it when Im bored or I want my cheek to be soft!?!

I've put my bleeding fingers in my mouth if I don't have anything to cover the cut, but I've never drank my own blood deliberately. I chew my lip though.

Honestly, I used to eat cabs. I love the saltiness of it. I'm sober now.
