  • This is normal, especially if you're young. Getting fat has nothing to do with overeating or lack of exercise. It's all about WHAT you eat, and how your body responds to that food.

    Specifically, it has to do with the amount of carbohydrates (especially refined) that you consume, and how well your body tolerates carbohydrates.

    If you're eating mostly sugar out of the box, you WILL get fat.
