You might be having a form of closed-eye hallucinations, which can sometimes make you feel like you're being thrown back and forth inside your head (hard to explain, but like it feels like you're moving or being shaken). I get it almost nightly - and I've had it all my life. Not sure about the vein thing though - if it's giving you pain, speak to a professional.
