Driving : is it normal to feel nervous while reversing

I just got my driving license this month. However, Whenever I was reversing my car, I got this weird feeling..I felt nervous. I mean driving forward is easy for me but it feels different during reverse. This concerns me though since reversing car is crucial part for parking etc..

Reversing and being a little nervous is normal. You don't have the same amount of view as going forward. Just back up slowly and if you feel you are backed up as much as you can hop out and take a look. You'll probably find you have several more feet you could go. This will help you gauge better how much you can go in reverse.

Just back up enough as you need to and then go forward. You'll get the hang of it.

    • Oh thanks a lot for the tips! That would help me if I were unsure what the hell is going on outside the car during reverse.

I am very glad how much people including you thought being nervous about this is normal.

I thought I am not worthy of being a driver just because of this feeling.

However, it feels much worse when I've to reverse in smaller, limited space. Hopefully, this too is just a nightmare for a beginner that will end over time.
