This is a shitty situation to be in (no pun intended).
You can't really escalate the conflict - They're your neighbors and you'll have to live with them somehow. So eventhough I understand your frustration and I'd want revenge aswell, I think it's better to just go and talk to them again as friendly as you can.
Because in reality being a jerk to a jerk only makes him a bigger jerk. But being really friendly to a jerk can sometimes make him realise his own jerkness.
I can't promise it'll work. Maybe it won't. But at least it won't make it any worse.
