Every pet requires maintenance, you have to weigh that with what you’re willing to do.
And how much interaction you want with the pet.
And if you’re just trying to dip your toe in to having a pet I think you might want to look at one of the small fuzzy ones.
Like a rat or hamster or something.
But from what I’ve heard, it would probably have to be committed to get two of them. Otherwise if there alone it can be very boring and depressing for them
Honestly, I've been thinking and praying about what I would tell you on all of this, because I love animals so much. I think a rat, or perhaps two rats, could be a good choice for you. However, I just want to stress to you how important it is love, care for, and never abuse or neglect any animal you get. Whatever pet you end up deciding to get you absolutely need to research, and read, read, read as much as you can on the care of that particular animal.
A pair of guinea pigs might be something to consider. Especially if you can get your hands on loads of dandelion leaves. Guinea pigs love 'em, the neighbours will love your weeding & of course they are free.
Dog, cat, fish, or bird? Which is easier?

Me too. I had a friend once who's sister's boyfriend kept slapping his dog hard where he yelped out loud, just for running around too much.

Damn! Some people are bitches to animals! I want a monkey for some reason too.
If you get ferrets check on their temperament & I'd get females. Ferrets have a distinct odour & the male ferrety odour is stronger.

Oh! Great idea! I'll put that into consideration!
