Are you not supposed to pat dogs that you don't know? Shit I always do...only when they come up to me and do stuff to my crotch (at that point I figure anything goes).
Anyway, personally I think it's a dumb idea to bring a dog to a party. Especially one that places demands on every guest. BUT, that's your call. So if that's what you want, friend 2 should accept that and stay home.
Hahaha, friend one told me in advance she´d of course not drink and that she´d leave when the felt that it got too much for the dog. I trust her completely
