Does this mean i'm ugly?

So I had to give this speech in front of +-50 ppl. As I started to talk nobody actually paid attention and you could barely hear my voice because of all the talking. The person in charge even had to ask the audience to "be respectful towards the speaker"...

My face is KINDA asymmetrical (I mean, VERY asymmetrical). My nose curves to the left (+ it's bulbous), my upper lip is uneven, my eyes are at a different level, and my eyebrows are different when it comes to shape. Idk if I'm exaggerating my looks but this is what I see when I look at pictures of myself etc.

I've also heard many times that people unfairly bias others based on their appearance, so could this event be a sign or just a coincidence?

Not a coincidence - you are unattractive 2
Possibly a coincidence 13
Definitely a coincidence 9

You were probably unconfident and people pick up on that easily. It's easy to see your own faults and bully yourself over things other people may barely notice.

You didn't ask, but I'd reccommend training your voice, say things powerfully, in funny voices, and funny quotes in serious voices. Switch it up, just get it warmed up. ANd open your mouth wider around the vowels and really stress the consanants (Do these excersizes in private). When we start to focus on things, things may exagerate or enlargen. Take their focus off your face, take your focus off your face by focusing on something else. That's my terribly unsolicited advice. And if this is true, may I remind you you are just beginning, everything great takes great time. To answer your actual question: Yes people, especially if they watch TV, base things off appearances, unfairly and unjustly. Especially biological males. As their brains are literally more hardwired to be more visually-acute than biological females.

Hmm... if your that self conscience about your face, then I'm assuming your have a rockin' fit body... Right?

If not, then you might want to consider it, because you would have more self confidence, people would notice your confidence easier, and everyone would be impressed with just how hot you look. In fact, it would be a great way to be symmetrical.

It could've been the subject matter or how you spoke or just a rude inattentive audience. I doubt if it had anything to do with your appearance. Can you ask the person in charge what h/she thinks the cause was?
