No that does not make you gay. Long term sexual attraction to members of the same sex and a corresponding lack of interest in members of the opposite sex makes you gay.
Since you are attracted to girls you are not gay. You could be bisexual though. Are you attracted to guys as well? If so, that would make you at least partially bi.
You say your family doesn't approve of gays. I'm sorry to hear that they are so judgmental. If you aren't comfortable talking to them about it, don't. They don't need to know the intimate details of your sex life.
