Im not being Ironic, and I don't have an agenda. Im just talking what I believe. I dont care if people wear masks or anything, covid is a stupid psyop thats making everybody go crazy.
Im in an area thats had a pretty high rate of infection. I'm not going out licking doorknobs to try to get sick, but I've had to basically keep chooglin on as normal to survive. I haven't seen any massive funeral pyres around, and any of the hospitals I pass on public transit getting around don't seem to be piling bodies outside, or even particularly busy. Only thing I notice is I have to wear a mask on the train and its literally impossible for me to make a living.
In terms of the motorcycle deaths thing, They're counting any death within 28 days of a covid positive test a covid death. Including accidents and Hospice patients. You can look this up from the same sources that provide the statistics. Also, the pack of masks I had to buy to get on the train today specifically says they're not for medical use on the package. Nobody told me that, I see it because I was reading the package. NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE, but I need it to get on the train.
Ive had a lot of time to do my own research lately. I'm not arguing and I'm totally not supporting Trump if thats the idea you were getting. If he was for real he wouldve called out how stupid building a colony on mars would be. Both sides are lying. My point was all this is designed to create arguments. Dealing with a real public health threat is a nuanced thing, not OLD PEOPLE VS BARS AND MOVIE THEATERS WHO MATTERS MORE PICK A SIDE. Both sides are polarizing pre-approved arguments to keep people arguing with each other, and the spectrum of approved news stations gives everybody an opinion they agree with to choose from.
I’m familiar with the “motorcycle deaths are counted” nonsense. They’re not counted as Covid deaths. What happens is, in some cases it takes time for a medical examiner to determine the cause of death. Sometimes a person who has Covid will die of something else and it may be listed as a Covid death UNTIL the medical examiner determines the cause of death, and if it wasn’t Covid, it gets fixed. Yes, it shouldn’t have been counted in the first place, but the it gets fixed, it doesn’t stay that way. That happened one(1) time, in Florida. A guy died in a motorcycle accident, tested positive for Covid, and he was listed as a Covid death UNTIL the medical examiner determined he died from injuries caused by the accident. There was also a person in Pennsylvania who was in a car accident, tested positive for Covid, and died. The thing is, the accident was caused because they had a coughing fit and lost consciousness, and they didn’t suffer any injuries related to the accident, so that was counted as a Covid death. So you have to let the medical examiner do their job and figure out what actually happened before you count it either way, because saying that’s a car accident death would be like saying watching TV killed my dad because that’s what he were doing when he had a heart attack.
You don’t need a mask designed for medical use to help stop the spread of the virus. The point isn’t to prevent every single infection, the point is to slow it down as much as reasonably possible. You should look into exponential growth and read about how even the slightest reduction in infectivity can have a huge impact long term, it’s wild. And it’s all just basic math, it’s not like it’s a wild conspiracy that can’t be proven. You can do the math yourself with a calculator. But I’m a numbers geek so maybe I care more about that stuff than other people, I don’t know.
I get what you’re saying about generating arguments, and you’re right. They need people to argue so they get better ratings and make more money. It happens with everything, turn on ESPN at any given time and you’ll probably see two angry former players yelling about whether LeBron is better than MJ or who’s going to win the Super Bowl. Everybody has to have a strong opinion, everybody has to make sure everybody else knows what their opinion is, and they have to get really, really mad at people who have a different opinion. And, for whatever reason, that’s what people like to watch on TV or listen to on the radio. It’s a societal problem that I really have no idea how to fix.
I’m just saying, it’s easy to get sucked into the propaganda that one side or the other puts out, so take it easy with the “they’re counting motorcycle deaths” stuff. You don’t want to become part of the problem.
I can't find the chart that listed covid comorbidities anymore. It was listing a couple thousand of them as "accidents"
I dont really ever watch TV. I watch a lot of NASA and SpaceX videos, mostly just because I know its fake. Not a mask argument person, but I've never really been a fan of authority and I resent the government telling me what's "for my own good."
The argument thing, that's the point of news. I feel like for the most part people don't want to seem "ignorant" and use having a strong opinion as a way to seem more educated. I see it as, if Im ignorant of politics or goings on in a country far away, its because it doesn't have any meaningful effect on my life and I don't feel like its a productive use of my time to pay attention to it. I don't care who they select to be president, I barely interact with most of society to where it would make a difference. I'm not against lockdowns for political reasons, I'm against them because they've had a very negative effect on my mental health and ability to make a living.
Most people don't see it that way, and feel the need to have a loud, serious opinion on whatever issues are put out there as being "important" Every one of these issues is usually an A or B question, for example. "Do we let grandpa die from this virus or close down his Hardware store so it goes out of buisiness?" Real life is nuanced, its not an either/or question all the time. Life isn't a series of multiple choice questions with 2 answer choices. That's why there's no legitimate 3rd parties, because every issue only has 2 possible answers.
They're "pre-approved" arguments that the outcome has no effect on the status quo. None of the bankers ruling the world care if gay people get married or not. The issue is useful because its polarizing and distracts from other issues people might have if left to their own devices.
The covid thing is lies with truth sprinkled in. It's very obvious to me this is a controlled and scripted narrative that both sides are using to accomplish other things they wanted to do anyway.
Does the news get on your nerves?
