Basically I'm wondering would you start a relationship with someone you find physically attractive, like their personality, etc but who was a bit down on themselves?
Or is confidence enough that someone not as attractive would be more likely to get your attention?

All women have something with their body that reduces their confidence; most of the times this is not a concern. As a male, the female body is nothing but a shell, it's a lure. Yes; I see women and look at them and say "She's extremely sexy" or "She's extremely beautiful" etc. I also look at women who's body's are not what most consider to be perfect and state "She has beautiful eyes", "She has a beautiful smile", etc. What I am saying; is nobody is truly ugly or truly beautiful until you get to know the individual more deeply. As for confidence, confidence can be boosted or reduced and several factors can cause these fluctuations. Now a woman that has beauty, extreme confidence and is flaunting this behavior in my opinion is immediately extremely ugly in my eyes.
I found my ex boyfriends confidence nice, and a turn-on but the guy that I'm seeing now is far more modest with himself and it doesn't make me any less attracted to him, if anything it makes me happy knowing that I have managed to improve his self-image simply by just being there and showing my appreciation.
But as someone else said, as long as they are not constantly talking down about themselves I'm game.
A bit beyond starting a relationship, but I get quite upset when the girl I'm with puts herself down. Following that thought process, that would mean I have lousy taste in girls because I'm with such a looser.
Hells no! I'm a good judge of women, and I chose a wonderful girl, so shut the fuck up!
