Does smoking a cigarette make you as high as smoking weed?

I wonder if there was some "spice" in the lat joint or bowl you smoked. Weed doesn't normally have such ill effects.

With cigarettes, the first one of the day makes one feel a little sick and dizzy for a couple minutes but none of that hallucination nor freaking out stuff.

BTW, I drink a little pepsi after my first cigarette to kind of counterbalance the dizzy effect.
