Does online dating work?
I mean a very serious search for a life partner who is also looking for one. I wonder how many people have found their partners online and lead a happy life.

It works but you're going to have to wade through a huge sea of shitty people before you find the right one(which might take YEARS). Online dating sites are full of men and women who are, lazy, overly sensitive, have severe mental or physical issues, have serious anger issues, are goldiggers, have 5-10 kids, use heavy drugs, don't know what no means, etc. Despite the fact that they're like this, they'll be overly picky and try to snag a man or woman who makes a lot of money and looks like a model with unsuccessful results. Which leads to their next move: hiding their undesirable qualities, then revealing them later on when they think they've gotten you to fall for them.
I met my husband through online dating. Many years on and we're happily married with beautiful children.
This was a long time ago though, before it became the lion's den that it is now. Good luck OP.
Lucky you. As you said, it has become the lion's den nowadays. People create profiles just to pass time and make others go insane.
She is a female.
Typically online though, the men are men, the women are men, and the little girls are law enforcement.
I met my girlfriend on GTA in 2016. I moved to another country and now we're living together.
There's nothing wrong with meeting another gamer through video games.
:)
There isn't but GTA? So much toxic on tgere in suprised anyone would trust the other enough
Yeah there are a lot of loud, whiny people, with no filter on their language, but there's also good people online. The ones I had a problem with were the 5-13 year olds that would play. They always sucked the fun out of everything. XD
I made all of my gaming friends on GTA, some of the nicest people I know.
Hit and miss.
take your time.
If you meet the actual person,
mentally fact check what was said on line.
Dont get guilted, or allow lonliness to overpower your common sence.
You will know after a date or 2 how real they are.
and how much you like them.
People can fake a lot on line.
Nothing like spending time in person.
The online dating community does tend to have lots of weirdos. Just like any other platform there are good and bad people. You just have to find the right person. Just be careful you don’t date anyone that is mentally unstable.
I met my boyfriend online. Our hometowns are close, we both went to the same uni miles away, probably walked past each other a bunch of times but never met. Thanks internet!
Cuntsiclestick said it best. But for someone who really does not know -
Online dating might be great in a perfect world. It certainly sounds great - look through profiles and find someone with similar interests and perhaps same relationship goals. Unfortunately, it isn't that simple.
You know those dating site commercials showing cute, happy couples who met on some site? Well, that is the exception. It gives false hope.
I know of two couples. One is married and the other one will be, who met online.
I had a few online flirts and cam sex type thing but never a relation ship from online dating sites. Apart from school girlfriends that I met, well, at school, all my girlfriends I found down the street. An no smart asses I don't mean fucking hookers! I mean like friday night met outside a pub or saturday at Mcdonalds.
