So far, the best reasoning I've found is what people experience while growing as a child. While we grow from kid to adult, our brains are wiring themselves based on what we see, feel, and experience. If a person watches a lot of anthropomorphic cartoons (animals with human forms) while going through puberty are more likely to enjoy furry porn. But that is just one theory. But, you should also know that there are so many other fetishes out there (I'm using 'fetishes' loosely here because I don't know what other word to use). There are many people who will only date over-weight people and do find non-over-weight people disgusting to look at.
