Does it irritate you when a person chews gum with their mouth open?

And you can hear every single chomp!

To me there’s nothing ruder then when an adult thinks it’s OK to continually chew their gum with their mouth open. If you want gum, fine, but don’t disrupt other’s thoughts.

  • Any audible mouth noises drive me crazy. I've stopped seeing several women because they made weird noises while eating or chewed with their mouth open. I wouldn't associate with someone that did that with gum.

  • It doesn't really bother me much. I thankfully chew gum with my mouth closed.

  • Any person chewing gum is disgusting, and between other people it is terrible.

  • Completely and utterly repulsive.

    • I agree! I honestly thinks it makes them look stupid, or at least like a sloppy human being that doesn’t deserve credibility. I lose respect for them.

Now imagine being stuck with a 30-year-old sibling who constantly chews gum, and ALWAYS chews with their stupid, unattractive mouth open! You hear the gum pulling off her teeth, slapping against her cheeks, moving under her tounge.

I’d rather be dead then stuck with them! (Though I really don’t want to be dead) I’ve told her several times she looks like a complete idiot.

  • It's disgusting.

Pick up a bug, and throw it in their mouth!

Just kidding... but still... it's really disgusting.

    • It is!

And really, is it so hard for a person who wants to chew gum to chew it with their mouth closed? I would never go so far as to suggest them not to chew gum, but just to be civil about their chewing. Nobody should hear it - that’s elementary courtesy in my book.
