Well ya but so does global cooling. To me, that's just the name that todays people decided to give to earths natural cycles. We've had several ice ages and several warming periods, each lasting many many thousands of years. You should read up on it since I suck at recalling details, otherwise i'd school you. And I don't mean look up global warming, look up earths natural cycles.
You won't find many scientists who'll say that global warming is a myth. You will find scientists who will argue over what contribution of it is cars and power stations and what share is a natural process.
Lots of people don't believe it, though. I usually ask them the same thing. Present your evidence. Be aware, though, that I would stake my life that global warming exists. That's how sure I am.
In my opinion, of course it does. Over the last 5 years or so (maybe longer) haven't you noticed the bizarre changes in weather?
Slowly but surely, the seasons have all been pushed forwards a month. Hence why it's still cold here in Australia in November. November! It should at least be 30+ degree days. Not 18 degrees and rain.
Up north Australia, we found we've had a record number of cyclones out of cyclone season and last year when I went to America in October, everyone was complaining how hot it was for that time of year.
Heat waves in summer, then sub zero temperatures in winter for Europe.
In my opinion, the proof is there all around us and people would notice more if we just stopped and listened for a second.
Is the globe getting warmer? Yes, definitely.
Is it caused by humans? I think so. I won't go into the evidence because I know trying to convince someone who doesn't believe it isn't going to work, but I will say that whether it's caused by human activity or not it can't hurt to reduce the amount we drive and the amount of food we import and the amount of oil we use. We will run out of oil and coal some day regardless of the effects of global warming, and we need to be ready for that day. Even if global warming was not caused by humans, that is no excuse not to act now.
