It is the seminal text of Taoism. If you are familiar with meditation, mindfulness or Buddhism some of the concepts will feel familiar. It speaks of the tao that is the emptiness in which material or rather illusions will manifest. It goes in to speculate on politics, religion, business, and morals, but comes back to a central principal about non-doing, even non-being and immersing yourself within the tao. This is horribly butchered but yeah its easy to find the full text online.
Lol its really short if you want to check, but yeah there are a lot of modern writers that put these things in a more practical and westernized way. Jon kabat Zinn and thich naht han come to mind.
