Does anyone else remember these types of radios from 2000ish

They really small radios that required a small chip to inserted to play music and it would only play a certain song. I remember them being popular around the turn of the millennium, say 1998-2001.

Also popular from that era were really small AM/FM stereo radios.

Anyone remember these?

I remember having a stereo that only had bass, treble and balance (left/right) and of course volume. Beat the shit out of any of the crap systems out today that you need to pay a ton to get a decent sound without fucking with it each tune or get it semi right by the time the song is done! lol
Shit lasted longer too and was easier to fix. Good luck with today's junk systems.

"Video killed The Radio Star" - by Buggles 1979, a great song that sums it up, listen to the song if you feel like... They were most popular between the 1950s-1970s, their popularity begun to decline since the 1980s, but were still kinda popular (especially the AM/FM stereo radios you mentioned) till the beginning of the 2000s, since then there has been a dramatic decline and its very rare for people to have them anymore... I myself listened to stereo radios in the 90s, but since the 2000s I moved on...
