Does anyone else feel truly unique and important?

Does everyone wish that they could be truly important to those around you? As in, their fates? For instance; the hero of a story, do you ever wish you could be that guy?

To have that sense of responsibility, that sense of duty, wanting to save the world. I don't feel that way all the time, just sometimes. That secretly, you actually have a great important destiny? I don't know. But what do you think?

    It's a fun feeling, but destiny is a fake. Destiny, you are a fake! You hear that? A fake! Don't come knocking on my door and ask me to put you back on the list of truths because you know that I can't do that unless you bribe me, so get off my lawn before I call the cops on you, you scam artist.
    Anyway, I try to stay out of influence.

    It can be a sign of narcissism to think you're unique and special so only time will tell if you really are someone special.

    i feel that i am significant in the way that you said. one should try not to let it go to their head because so is everyone else. we do what we can, and are becoming what we are.

    hmmmm i dont wanna be special just difrent its more realistic. i used to feel that way hell sometimes i still do sometimes i feel like one of them people that dont see things that should be helped or stopped jus should be fair and so on its wierd but alot of people do think what your thinking but all of them basicly lived normal lifes which im sure u, me and anyone else who feels special

    Well I don't really feel a sense of importance or greatness when it comes to self-sacrifice for the good of others or anything like the hero complex, but I do feel like the most unique and greatest person for myself in a very selfish way.

    I feel that I deserve to have whatever I want, be it a certain woman, winning an argument, etc. I basically feel that I am the best person in every situation, and the only thing I would want from other people would be for them to recognize my own greatness and see me as the "hero", so to speak.

    I think we all make our own destiny. There are many kinds of heros. Helping the poor....those that are less fortunate than we are....that's pretty heroic. And just makes you feel good inside.
