i was curious if anyone out there enjoyed playing the card game magic the gathering. i just want to see how many people like the game.

      i have played yugioh for a time, then when i found magic i just said ehh i like this so much better

        One thing holding me back from playing magic, cause there is a club for that at my school, is that I dislike the president of the club so I'd rather not be a part of his club.

          make your own, not really about clubs in my opinion its about having fun with others and your self. but do what ever you want i guess

          Yeah. I remember when I first read it how surprised I was to find that it was very different from the anime. The anime has it's dark points, but the manga was so much more darker. What I can't get over is the author's genius. It's amazing how he managed to come up with so many games and such a multi-level storyline.

            After watching yugioh abridged online I find the whole thing funny. I mean Kaiba literally spent millions of dollars on a children's card game. The storyline at first wasn't bad but after battle city the story got lame. It wasn't until they brought Yugioh GX that I started to get back into the game. But when that ended I quickly got over it.

              GX was good and it was nice having a new main character and the concept of "guardian cards". I didn't like "3Ds", if that was the name. I hated how they would spend more time dueling on motorcycles than battling on the ground. It took too much away from the show.

    It's pretty fun, only thing I don't like about it (and the reason I don't play often) is all the new sets constantly. If you don't update your deck you end up being outmatched, and I don't have the money to blow on more cards so I can keep up with the people I play with.

      wel what i have discovered, you do not nessesaraly need to have the newest things, if you have a deck that works and kicks ass you good to go

        I guess I'm just playing people too rich for me who can afford all the bloody expensive cards that are better. -.- I know my shit needs work at this point, I was working on perfecting so many decks at once I never totally finished any of them.

          well, if you want to work on the one that you like the most. i myself only have two decks and they are both awesome and i didnt even spend alot on it 20 to 30 at most, if you want also i can help you out ask any questions if you have any

    I always wanted to play it, but I never got around to buying the cards and learning. I used to play Yu-gi-oh (Duel Monsters) but I was never a excellent player. I also collected Duel Masters, Pokemon and Digimon cards. With those, I barely know how to play them.

    My husband has a shitton of cards and decks and he has a handful of friends that he plays at school. Usually anywhere between 2-4 player games.

    My boyfriend and all of his friends play it and he's trying to get me to as well but I have no interest in it. I prefer Yugioh too.

    I went through a phase where I played this for a month straight at my best friends house. He and his brother and friends played so I got sucked right into it. I miss it, but I don't plan to invest in any of the cards for myself since I don't know anyone who plays it regularly anymore.
