  • I think age does matter to a degree.

Obviously, there are going to be differences regarding experience and maturity between a 27 year old and a 51 year old and not everyone is able to communicate that mine-field.

I see it being difficult for a woman who wants kids and is 27 to be with a man who has already done the family thing and is divorced and enjoying his freedom. Even love couldn't overcome those kind of problems.

However, I don't think that age always matters and I think a good couple with the same priorities and goals with good communication skills will work out, regardless of age. The only problem is that age (being that experience comes with age) is often a factor.

As with any aspect of a relationship, it's difficult to gauge whether or not a relationship will be successful when only one factor is taken into consideration and for this question, we're only really talking about a few factors (age, maturity, experience).
