  • My only bad experience with my name is that when I was in school, no fucking teacher could pronounce it. It's not common, but not strange. It pissed me off because it was always a problem every new school year. It's like, you're a goddamn teacher, and you can't read my fucking name? How did you get your job teaching??

I've only known a few people who had the same name, but 99% of the time they used it as a nickname, not their real name....and they almost always spelled it differently. Yes, it's annoying. People always assume my name is a nickname too, so that's really annoying.

    • So what is it?!

And I've had the same experience throughout my life as well...still, to this day, do I have to introduce myself as "Britton....like the country but spelled differently....". It's rather obnoxious but people hack my name up constantly....

        • Hell, my name is on blast 24/7...no harm in saying your first name...I'm sure millions of people share the same name as you...

          • Oh, OK, you convinced me....but I'll be pissed if people start calling me by name...and I'll blame you. It's Jeannie. No, not a nickname, and yes, that is how it's spelled. I was born in the 70's, so maybe I Dream of Jeannie had something to do with it.

            Happy? : )
