Do you write in cursive/script?

Do you write in cursive handwriting or in print? What do you think of cursive handwriting? Do you think it's necessary to learn or a waste of time in the modern day?

As I'm a retired (71) technical engineer I use both, tech docs were all typed or print, my own notes cursive.
Being old school back then it was considered childish to just do printing.

I write in cursive. I've been writing that way since I was 9. Also, my handwriting hasn't changed since then. Its shitty. Lol

Is it aesthetically displeasing shitty, or hard to read shitty?

Aesthetically displeasing shitty. It's readable, but it looks like a nine year old did it. Lol

I only write in cursive when I feel like it. I hand wrote 5 final exam essay prompts in cursive for my Modern European History teacher in collage cause I liked the teacher, and he gave off Jimmy Eat World emo vibes as he was a part time drummer.

I write my notes in full caps. Makes it legible for future me. Signature in cursive.

I can do both well, but use print for everyday stuff. If I write fast, it's a mix of print and cursive. My signature is (or at least once was) cursive, but now has evolved to mostly a couple of cursive letters ending in a scribble.

I like to make homemade cards rather than buying them from the store (more personal and I can make them fit the situation better than a storebought card) and often use cursive or at least a very fancy print for the decorative text (and the fancy print for the message as well).

“Do you write in cursive or script?” Is not a yes/no question, what do you mean?

Obviously I learned cursive writing in school, but I write in plain print letters.

That is if I ever have to write using a pen... I don't think I've written anything in the past 3 years. Just signatures.

I write in both cursive, and print depending on my mood, and what I'm writing.

  • I basically try to avoid lifting the pen from the paper. It's not quite traditionally cursive but I like the way my writing looks, usually

I do both. But have done drafting for so long, I usually print mostly out of habit.

I've been writing in cursive since 3rd grade thanks to that school demanding itm saying well use it everywhere. Well thanks to that despite all thevreading I do when u need to use manuscript I forget some of the letters and have to use cursive letters in its stead. Because of that I've forgotten most capital cursive letters do I use manuscript cspitals in its stead. Its a mess

I sometimes write in cursive handwriting ( except I've been taught that for over years. Which is in context to cursive ).

If I'm being honest if not in short I 90% write cursive and 10% of the time I choose not to.

Nice. I never learned shorthamd. Kinda wish I did cause my bosses are the uneducated types so its be fun to fill out the extra non important notes they make us do in it. Make them scratch their heads when they look at it
