I don't drive but I follow driving rules when walking. If I'm somewhere with a lot of cars moving around (like a supermarket car park), I'm usually as aware of the flow of traffic and people's intentions as any driver would be.
I walk quickly and sometimes wish other pedestrians were more aware of their surroundings (I'm fed up of people just stopping dead for no reason without checking if someone is behind them; my friend used to deliberately continue his momentum and trample them to teach them a lesson).
