Do you use those toilet seat protectors or just sit on the seat bare?

Is it normal to never sit on a toilet seat without putting several sheets of toilet paper on it first? I know there are not many (if any) diseases or infections that can get transmitted from sitting on a toilet bare butt, but the idea of sitting on a public toilet bare butt grosses me way out. Do you just go for it or do you use tp or those crappy butt protectors before you sit?

    Is it really that big of a deal? I think if the bathroom looks relatively clean and there's no pee or unmentionables on the seat there's no harm in sitting on it bare ass. It's not like you're putting your vagina hole or ass hole directly on the seat itself. You'll take a shower later on or at most the next morning or so, won't you?
    If the bathroom is halfway decent or I can spare a few seconds without pissing my pants, I'll rip three four square (or more) sheets and place them in the shape of a triangle over the seat before I sit.

    Teh ArseGaskets are there for a REASON eh? Flippancy aside- It's just common sense to be avoiding flesh contact with some surfaces of extraordinary risk.

    i don't sit on a public toilet and at home i clean the toilet with bleach and water before i would even sit on the toilet even though i am the only person who uses my toilet.

    in public restrooms if there is anything brown i move to the next toilet, if theres liquid, then i just spit on it, wipe it down and sit, if it looks clean and dry, i just sit and go, toilet seats have less germs on it than the handle you so easily touch to get in and out of the bathroom and then touch your face and eat with, and the only thing that comes in contact with a toilet seat is your butt, nbd.

    If the little seat protectors are provided, I'll use them. If the bathroom looks pretty clean and there are no protectors, I don't worry about it. If the bathroom is questionable, I'll do the toilet paper square thing. And if the bathroom is really nasty and I have no alternative or can't wait, I just don't sit on the seat (do the squat). Some public restrooms have the little dispenser where you can spray disinfectant on some tp to wipe the seat down before you use it- I think that's starting to get crazy!
