"Simply stated, MSG is glutamic acid that has been manufactured in a food or chemical plant or created by fermentation. In every case, the glutamic acid that has been manufactured in food or chemical plants or created by fermentation is accompanied by unwanted byproducts of manufacture referred to as impurities.
"Unprocessed/unadulterated/unfermented protein in any meat, fish, fruit, grain, vegetable etc., contains glutamic acid but no impurities.

Hmmm... You wouldn't happen to know just how bad any form of GMO can be for you... would you? I'd be happy to tell you ALLLLLLL~ about them. :D
Okay... so now it's a GMOs. I admit I'm a bit skeptical about that being a good idea (although GMOs are currently keeping my sister alive). I can't find any information on whether most Corynebacterium glutamicum used in MSG production is GM or not, but it may well be.
But that "impurities" talk is nonsense. In the context of MSG production, anything other than MSG is an impurity. Of course no product is ever going to be 100% pure. But somehow fresh meat and produce are magically "pure", only because they changed the definition. If a tomato fell the the fermentation vat it would be considered loaded with impurities. And it's not like everything in tomatoes harmless, they contain detectable levels of nicotine, for instance. By any objective standard, natural products are LESS pure. So basically this is the stupidest argument ever. (I realize you were only quoting that from somewhere, so no offense intended.)
To be completely honest, I had no idea that MSG was produced by Genetically Modified bacteria until when I started doing this research. And, I don't really understand the impurities argument here either, but it just got copy/pasted along with the rest of it all.
Edit: Nicotine in tomatoes? Interesting.... well, the tomato IS in the nightshade family along with tobacco, so I guess it doesn't surprise me. :P
No, I think you had no idea how MSG was produced AT ALL. I think you bought into this "it's bad for you" bullshit and were never called out on it until now and so had never had to actually look at what MSG is and how it acts in the body. That's quite obvious.
And, to avoid just admitting you're WRONG, you try to grasp straws and look like the fool you are.

Show me THAT and I'll be on board with you. Money goes both ways, if there WAS money to be made by successfully suing MSG makers, someone would be doing it. Right? What's your answer to THAT?
