This phrase will vibrate throughout the ages. The reverence it brings will cause people to wallow in their own illusions and take a brief hiatus to ponder the plight of modern man. Of what man has become and more importantly what it will become. This phrase will surmise an entire generation, not just ours, but the ones that follow. Those that know for whom the sleigh bell tolls will roar in their cry as they embrace this saying. The cracks in society are becoming larger, the paychecks smaller. All the while the necessities of life keep dwindling more and more into the category dubbed "luxuries." We are the hollow men, we are the stuffed men, and this has become our reality. No one but us can hear our cries. We are too late, for the bell has already rung.
