Do you think you will see you're loved ones in heaven ?

For those who believe in God .
Question for you .
When we die and see God in heaven do you think we will also see our friends and family and pets ?

I been thinking and I think we are not going to remember who we loved on earth and the reason I think this is because what happens if we did remember our loved ones and they are not in heaven with us will we be sad ?

Or if we saw our favorite actor or singer will we be drooling over them saying how we loved their music or there acting ?

Wouldn't God be like HEY you are suppose to only look at me not other angels in heaven .

I like to hear other peoples opinions on this topic .

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Humans don't turn into angels upon death. To answer your question, everyone who goes to Heaven gets to see everyone else who goes to Heaven. Whether or not animals go to Heaven is unknown and unaddressed in the bible.

    • Well, I think animals are addressed. I think it said that all animals have some form of afterlife but in a different place? I'm probably wrong actually.

  • 100%, i know I will!

  • There is no heaven. There is no hell.
    Only the abyss.

  • Heaven is a bullshit concept

  • They’re rotting in the ground. Whatever made them special to you is being eaten by maggots.

  • I talked with God. They're there but don't rush to see them. Try be happier knowing they can see when you're happy.

    • Literally nobody asked. See how the first sentence of this post is "for those who believe in God"?

      • People who are afraid to have their beliefs challenged usually put huge walls up instead of having a discussion

        • There's nothing wrong with not wanting to change their beliefs. They know what they think, and don't want other people mixing things up for them.

    • If you're trying to convince people to be atheist, you're not doing a good job.

  • I believe we will meet our loved ones in the afterlife.

  • Idk dude I wish I did. I wish I could see my granddad again. If he were alive today I'd be a different person 🙁

    • I would probably freak the fuck out during the first 10 minutes. I'm hoping for an afterlife/game over screen. Would be a waste if I just cease to exist.

  • I think that in some form a person's loved ones will be present. Heaven is whatever a person wants in my belief with boundaries. Everyone loves everyone else and I bet pets and friends are allowed even if they are younger or older due to where they actually are-probably on Earth until the day they go to heaven in true form. God is present in Heaven too. He is the reason why Heaven is perfect and no wrong can happen.

  • I hope there are cats, and dogs in Heaven. Heaven without cats would be like peanut butter without jelly.

  • I think we will see our families again. It's actually comforting to me and makes me not be fearful of death.

  • I'm an atheist but I think the idea of Christianity's heaven was never meant to be described as completely perfect. It was just exagerrated to that extreme by over-excited preachers trying to convert people. And then no one wanted to point out the imperfect aspects of heaven because they'd worry that'd be blasphemous, so they all joined in too in saying that it's perfect. But really it was only ever meant to be somewhere that's very pleasant, not perfect.

  • No, I have other things to do....

  • No. For me I'm gonna be alone with a hot chick that I love and be spending my days, wondering green hills, fishing, fucking and swimming

  • I believe I’ve had and kept, and will continue to keep my loved ones with me. Even my cat. Every life.

  • Heaven is a concept created by humans...

You mean paradise, right? Paradise is where spirits are, having a good time

    • Don't comment on a post meant for religious people, this person clearly only asked for feedback from "those who believe in God"
You're adding nothing to the convo.

      • Why do you only want the opinion of people who agree with you? Do you know what confirmation bias is? It means you look for evidence for things you already believe in and dismiss anything else as extra or superfluous

        • this post isn't asking for the opinion of people who don't get the context. Its like asking someone who isn't a professional in a subject professional questions. this wasn't my post btw.

          • Non Christians may not be the target audience, but there is meaningful data in polling everybody.

Take for example someone who was born into religion. Talking to an atheist, their faith may be strengthened or a new understanding of life may develop. But if they never had that conversation, would they ever develop their beliefs into something more tangible?

            Comment Hidden ( show )
      • They're others who aren't contributing to the conversation, yet you target me..... how interesting

Edit: Nevermind, I do see some replies from you.... I should probably explain why I said this.

For people to be in heaven means they must have achieved something so grand. You see, heaven is for the higher up spirits and the gods/goddesses. The lower level is called paradise and it's what people mistaken it for heaven.

I was raised as a Catholic. However, I didn't connect to the thought of being in a church, and praying to a higher up being in which I questioned the existence of. Instead, I decided to dismiss myself from the thought of religion and started to believe in spirituality.

Open you're heart and let God inside you're soul .

There is a God but you have to seek him .
I can't explain it , but God is real !

The Holy Spirit is amazing feeling , no drugs , No sex , nothing can fill you're soul but only God can do it .

  • My own beliefs, are my own.
    I believe in god.
But I'm not convinced any single religion is right.
As I read the bible I was given, it bears ( yea, bears )
    This out.
Jesus gave miracles to non jew/christians.
He said to the unbaptized man next to him.
    Today you will see paradise.
    He offered the good samaritan.
( substitute muslim, or religion of your choice )
As being the perfect example of the faith.
He clarified further in the beatitudes.
    End result.
Some bible thumpers are in for a rude awakening.
    If animals have a soul.
    They will be in heaven.
    Because animals are sin less.
None of us can make that claim.
    My heaven has animals.
As it says, the lion, that sits next to the lamb.
    By biblical standards.
    We are vegan.
What plant tastes better then BACON?
    Only god knows.
