Do you think we are about to have another long hard recession?

I am afraid that we are. I got laid off during the last recession and couldn’t find another decent job for two years. Now at work they are talking about lay-offs and I am scared of going through it again.

Would just take one of the worlds country's economy's to not bounce back after this coronavirus shit, making it impossible to trade with other country's. If this country relies on other for food or oil and they have nothing to buy with they will begin to panic. Everyone's nerves are high, some place like america panic in fear of (lets say) UK starting a war with Italy because they know they are sitting on oil and in their weakened state would be an easy take over. America don't want uk messing with Italy because they predict a bounce back for italys economy and have plans to trade with them. America drop a bomb on Ireland, thinking Ireland would blame uk and keep uk occupied with them as to not have time for Italy. Shit goes south when ireland think its some Turkish fucks from the cyprus island.

Italy now has intelligence that uk wants war. Ireland has their war ships headed to cyprus, on their way to cyprus, irish ships pass close to italy. Italy mistake irish ships for uk ships. Italy start sending seeker missiles to the irish ships. Ireland have no idea what is going on and fight back with italy. America is even more pissed and are now at war with ireland. Uk intelligence now uncover the truth of americas plan but do not wish to engage because they now want america to wipe out ireland

Australia will be the only country to eliminate the coronavirus with an aids medication. Australia now becomes a target for panicking Asians wanting to board Australia shores to escape the virus that has mutated into a virus with a 99% mortality rate in asia. Australia are now at war defending its shores. Australia decide not to share the cure in fear of the cure being reverse engineered in these times of war, they fear it could be used to make the virus resistant against the cure. America take this not sharing as offensive and now america hate Australia.

People dont seem to have balls anymore. If politicians were still conquerors maybe but theyre too busy giving their countries away to muslims than to take something. Remember in ww2 the allies took over germany, italy, and france AND THEY GAVE IT BACK. Soooo stupid

Because WWII was ENGINEERED. It happened on purpose. Carnegie steel provided the rails that brought trains to concentration camps.

I think that was one of the biggest pussy moves ever. We should have kept those countries as colonies or some shit. Keep our bases there and take their resources and make that American land. Or atleast split it with Russia

Let's not forget how many countries are going to blame China for how badly Covid-19 is spreading.

No, these will be very short term troubles, sort out Covid-19 and the economy will bounce back at high speed.

We should be fine. mostly just fear mongering. I really hope I dont get laid off, my 2 month review is coming up wich dictates whether I'm let go or kept on. I was confident but I made some stupid mistakes this week wich does not look good. One could of costed the company alot of money. A mistake I'll never make again but still. Really hope I'm kept on. Corina doesnt scarecme though. My company is still hiring people even. Im lucky to work for them.

    A recession was already coming.
    Before this virus.
    This just pushed it forward.
Smart people are going to make huge amounts of money off this.
The wall street traders, real estate buyers.
    gun stores.
The myth is that our economy was doing well.
    It's barrowed money, and hype.
    A crash is coming.
Those at the top will continue life as normal.
For many people, you will lose.
Your job, savings, house, property, and privacy.
More tax cuts for the rich, more taxes for you.
Then well all settle down to the new normal.
    A 2 class system.
    Haves, and have nots.
    No more middle class.

Yes, everyone's pancaking way too much. I think we may well end up in a depression. Ironically, a depression would be worse than doing nothing to quarantine the disease. It's something like 99.5% of those infected with it who are young and healthy will survive.

Yup, unemployment is predicted to be at 20%, the Great Depression was 25%. Our last recession, after the 2008 financial crisis, was only 10%. Many people never recovered.

2008 was the time I was trying to get into an entry level job in the I.T. field. I had just graduated with my degree in it. Needless to say it never happened. Positions either required a mountain of qualification or the very scant ones that were tech support over the phone.
Even got laid off my warehouse job (as did maybe 1/2 the other employees) because of that recession.

I feel like we are headed towards some dystopian nightmare perhaps. I feel like there's a lot the news isn't telling us, like there's a lot that world governments aren't telling people.

There is talk of martial law but mostly seems to be a hoax.

You gotta think though, the world would not go this batshit nuts over a silly virus alone.

There’s been a lot of scuffling of getting your militant personnel in Russia together to send them back home to America. Seems that you guys might have a much higher military presence in your neighborhoods soon.

      Please stock up Ms RoseIsabella!
      Wish you guys luck.

Thanks for your well wishes. I hope I can order more toilet paper from Costco before I run out of what I've got.

I had to wait outside in line with people in the rain yesterday to get a pack of toilet paper at Target. Everywhere else was out and my store was the only shot I had at getting it for my parents who had none.

I woulda thought that employees could grab what they needed before the store opened?

If we were allowed to I would definitely do that. To get high demand stuff we gotta wait in line like everyone else. Failure to do so can get us terminated.
