well yeah i do agree, but then most of what we know are the ones on the mass media,it all just follows what the audience wants, what's recently popular. and then of course the technology influences music as well (imo), there are a lot of factors why music now is so different then back then. maybe Chopin would think the 80s and 90s music are crap who knows :). but if u look for good ones i'm quite sure there are some good ones out there. not all of em are crap.
for me personally, yes, the 80s and 90s are the best.but the search for good music will never end - i can't be without it :D
