Do you think this would work?

Would I be able to prevent both world-wars from happening if I were to travel back to 1914 and save Franz Ferdinand from being assassinated? My friend suggested that it might be a better idea than killing Hitler.

WWI was caused by an entire socioeconomic saga. The only question was what was going to be the "Trigger Event."

If you could eliminate the event that happened; another would have happened most likely within 6 months.

Different individuals would have conducted the wars slightly different... but the overall outcomes would be the same.

WWII was caused by the imbalance created by the end of WWI. Germany was being way improperly restricted and punished for WWI. It was bound to end up in another major war in Europe. Again the actual trigger event could have changed without changing the progression or outcome of WWII much.

Fuck that. I'd go back far enough to invest in Apple, Microsoft & Amazon when they were in their infancy.

I have no idea, I dont know as much about ww1 as ww2. Ww1 was so much more complicated with so many layers to it.

Nope, it's better if people can't time travel, and fuck shit up.

I doubt it. I think everything is already messed up for the same reason it's always been messed up which is human nature.
